Infertility is the inability to conceive after one year of unprotected intercourse, or the inability to carry a pregnancy to term. This definition is reduced to six months for:
- Women over 35
- Women with a history of painful periods, irregular cycles, pelvic inflammatory disease and miscarriages
The earlier you seek help, the greater your chances for success. If you and your partner have been trying to conceive without success, have been diagnosed with infertility, we urge you to see a specialist as soon as possible.
We will begin with a complete physical exam, history, 3D pelvic ultrasound, and blood work.
You may also need a semen analysis up to 50% of the cases of infertility are due to male factors.
We treat common infertility caused by poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOD) with Clomid.
Other more complex causes of infertility may need to be treated at our partners office.
