Cancer Detection and Treatment
We offer the new BRCA testing for those with a family history of certain cancers. Since the advent of the Pap test the incidence of cervical cancer has decreased dramatically. Annual pelvic exams are still the only way to detect ovarian cancer. The earliest sign of uterine cancer is abnormal bleeding. A Baseline mammogram is recommended between the ages of 35 and 40 with annual mammograms after 40 unless you are in a high risk category.
Da Vinci Robotic Surgery
When you need surgery, you want to get through it so that you can get back to your life. We want that for you, too. It’s why we brought on Dr. Daniel Lax – a da Vinci certified surgeon. The da Vinci surgical system helps enable Dr. Lax to perform minimally invasive surgery with an advanced set of instruments and a 3D high-definition view of the surgical area. One reason surgeons use da Vinci is because it may provide improved outcomes. For example, one outcome is reducing the number of complications associated with hysterectomy.
Infertility is the inability to conceive after one year of unprotected intercourse, or the inability to carry a pregnancy to term. This definition is reduced to six months for:
- Women over 35
- Women with a history of painful periods, irregular cycles, pelvic inflammatory disease and miscarriages
The earlier you seek help, the greater your chances for success. If you and your partner have been trying to conceive without success, have been diagnosed with infertility, we urge you to see a specialist as soon as possible.
Complementary and alternative medicine is becoming increasingly more prominent and commonplace in the health care system and medical field – we will help find an alternative medicine approach that’s right for you.
Minimally Invasive (Bloodless) Surgery
